Sept 12 Tues IWA CMA - Land In Calif !! Exciting Finish
Had originally planned to land at Victoria (VCV) to give Blu a break but he was doing well & the mountains were getting my attention so decided to push thru & finish in Camarillo ...
A little over 3 hour flight. Lots more terrain but pretty boring until BLH .. after that very intense. Flying over the Sierra Nevada's. Had to work my way around these peaks although not evident from these pics .. kind of like being in an aerial maze.
Added to that CMO was marginal VFR with 1200' ceiling. The approach dropped into a valley ( beautiful) that lead to CMA .. got into the pattern and landed .. taxi to Cardinal FBO.
Hertz rental wasn't at aiport . got shit car that was already there
Arrive Wyndham ... around Noon ... first food

Walked down to the Ventura Peir and got Fish & Chips / Bed
